Testimonials
"Sue has been my Supervisor since 2017. She allows me space to reflect on my practice and voice any concerns she is empathic a highly skilled listener. Helps me to challenge and be creative in my practice. I find every session with her is cathartic and feel totally restored at the end of each session".

"I am writing this review based on my experience working with Sue as a supervisee. Sue was supportive and knowledgeable, and provided me with additional insight and guidance. Not only with my client work, but also with my growth and development as a counsellor. I would not hesitate to recommend Sue to anyone looking for a supervisor".

Sue was incredibly supportive and helpful as a supervisor when I worked in private practice. Her knowledge and willingness to learn alongside me helped me grow within my counselling practice. If I was still working privately I would absolutely continue to work with Sue.

Online Supervision
Hello and Welcome!
Why Supervision?
"As I walked along...there was a break in the clouds and a ray of sunshine poured through. Suddenly everything looked different. I noticed the raindrops glistening on tree branches and a few snowdrops in a garden...the world was the same, yet in an instant through that ray of sunlight, my view of it had changed completely." Dr Els Van Ooijen (p.1, 2013), psychotherapist and supervisor, compares clinical supervision to that ray of sunshine she writes about above. We see the world through our own thoughts and prejudgements and supervision can help us become aware of and make sense of these through reflection.
If you're looking for supervision, you will undoubtedly know something about it, whether it be that you're a trainee counsellor, or that you're starting out on a career as a helping professional or whether you are a practitioner with many years' experience. You may be in private practice or part of an organisation. You may be a counsellor, psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, or other.
For me personally, it has been, and continues to be, invaluable to my practice, and indeed, it's probably true to say that the relationship with my supervisor of over 10 years is one of the most significant of my life. I see supervision as an essential component of our duty of care to our clients. But it is also so much more – it is a space where we can develop and grow both professionally and personally.
Why Choose Me?
I have supervised both in person and remotely. Now I work almost solely on Zoom, with one consistent supervisee since 2017. Although there is no legal requirement for specific training, I hold a diploma in Supervision with the Link Centre. This felt important to me, not only to offer reassurance to those with whom I work of my knowledge and understanding, but I am striving to provide the best possible service and expertise to my supervisees so that they may, in turn, do the same for their clients.
